Over the last fifty years I've written a number of songs. I would have written a lot more, but I kept thinking, "What's the premise of this song? What's the main idea? What's the story line?"

A while back I heard this song, out of the Ozark Mountains, that shows that none of those things is essential: Just sing anything!
